If you're looking for something from Ramon, but not his Redencion or its similar Liberation brother, the Sangre is the model for you. It pairs a Wharncliffe blade with a slender, tapered titanium handle that is reminiscent of Ramon's famed 228 design. It's wildly comfortable, even with its squared-off edges, and you get an extremely solid grip on this robust folder. The frame lock features a replaceable lockbar insert/overtravel arrestor and the knife is complete with a partial titanium backspacer. If Ramon Chavez has been on your wish list for a while but remains outside your price point, then check out a Chaves Ultramar. For the money, there isn't a better mid-tech type production knife that we can think of.
